Understanding the health and armor system is fundamental to surviving gunfights in Warzone. Unlike traditional Call of Duty multiplayer, players have a much higher effective health pool.

Health:

  • All players start with 100 base health.
  • Health regenerates automatically after a short delay if you haven't taken damage.

Armor Plates:

  • You can equip up to three armor plates, each adding 50 points of armor, for a total of 150 armor.
  • With full health and full armor, a player has an effective health of 250.
  • Armor plates are consumed when you take damage. You can re-plate by holding the 'Use Armor Plate' button (default '4' on PC, 'Y' on Xbox, 'Triangle' on PlayStation).
  • You can carry a maximum of 5 spare armor plates in your inventory.

Armor Plate Strategy:

  • Always Re-Plate: After every engagement, or even after taking a few shots, immediately re-plate to full armor. This is crucial.
  • Plate Mid-Fight: If you can find a moment of cover during a gunfight, quickly pop a plate or two. This can often turn the tide.
  • Armor Box: Use or purchase Armor Boxes to resupply your team's plates.
  • Listen for Cracks: When you hit an enemy, you'll hear a distinct 'crack' sound for each armor plate you break. This intel tells you how much damage you've done.

Note: Headshots bypass armor and deal direct health damage, making them incredibly lethal.
