Loadouts are custom weapon and perk combinations that you can call in during a match via a Loadout Drop. These are crucial for competitive play as they allow you to use your preferred, fully-kitted weapons.
Creating a Loadout:
Before a match, go to the 'Weapons' tab in the main menu and select 'Edit Loadouts'. You can create up to 10 custom loadouts. Each loadout consists of:
- Primary Weapon: Your main firearm, often an Assault Rifle, SMG, LMG, or Sniper Rifle.
- Secondary Weapon: A backup weapon, typically a Pistol, Shotgun, or another Primary (if using the Overkill perk).
- Lethal Equipment: Grenades, Molotovs, C4, Throwing Knives.
- Tactical Equipment: Stun Grenades, Flash Grenades, Smoke Grenades, Heartbeat Sensors.
- Perk Slot 1: Blue Perks (e.g., Cold-Blooded, Double Time, E.O.D.)
- Perk Slot 2: Red Perks (e.g., Overkill, Ghost, Restock)
- Perk Slot 3: Yellow Perks (e.g., Amped, Shrapnel, Battle Hardened)
Essential Perks for Warzone:
- Overkill (Red): Allows you to carry two primary weapons. Essential for having a long-range and a close-range option.
- Ghost (Red): Makes you undetectable by UAVs, Heartbeat Sensors, and Radar Drones (while moving). Crucial for staying off the enemy radar.
- Cold-Blooded (Blue): Undetectable by AI targeting systems and thermal optics. Good for countering thermal scopes.
- E.O.D. (Blue): Reduces damage from explosives and fire. Very strong against grenade spam.
- Amped (Yellow): Faster weapon swap and rocket launcher reload speed. Great for quick transitions between weapons.
- Battle Hardened (Yellow): Reduces the effect of enemy tactical equipment.
Strategy: Many players run an 'Overkill' loadout first to get their two main weapons, then a 'Ghost' loadout later in the game to become undetectable on the map. You can pick up your second loadout from a second Loadout Drop or by buying it from a Buy Station.
