Resurgence mode offers a faster, more aggressive battle royale experience on smaller maps like Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep. The key difference is the respawn mechanic.
Resurgence Mechanics:
- Automatic Redeploy: As long as at least one teammate is alive, eliminated players will automatically redeploy after a short countdown. This countdown increases with each death.
- Squad Wipe: If your entire squad is eliminated before the redeploy timer for any player runs out, your team is out of the game.
- Gas Circles: Similar to Battle Royale, gas circles shrink the playable area, but they move much faster.
- High Action: Due to the respawn mechanic and smaller maps, engagements are constant and intense.
Resurgence Strategies:
- Aggressive Play: Don't be afraid to push fights. Even if you go down, you can often redeploy quickly.
- Stay Together: Sticking with your squad is even more critical in Resurgence. If your last teammate goes down, it's game over.
- Loadout Priority: Getting your loadout quickly is paramount. Cash is abundant, so prioritize buying a Loadout Drop or finding one.
- Cash Management: Use cash to buy armor plates, killstreaks, and revive kits. Buying back a downed teammate isn't necessary, but a Self-Revive Kit can save your squad from a wipe.
- High Kill Games: Resurgence is excellent for racking up high kill counts due to the constant action and respawns.
- Map Knowledge: Learn the ins and outs of Rebirth Island or Fortune's Keep. Knowing common rotations, power positions, and loot spawns will give you a huge edge.
- Late Game: As the gas closes in and respawns stop, the final circles play out very similarly to traditional Battle Royale, emphasizing positioning and clutch gunfights.
Objective: Be the last team standing, utilizing the respawn mechanic to your advantage and maintaining squad cohesion.
