Offensive items are your primary means of interacting with enemies and certain environmental elements. The most common offensive item is the Turnip. You can pluck turnips from the ground in most levels. Throwing a turnip at an enemy will defeat most standard foes like Goombas, Shy Guys, and Piranha Plants. Some larger enemies might require multiple turnips or a specific strategy. Turnips can also be used to activate switches or break certain fragile blocks. Another offensive item is the Super Pickaxe. This rare power-up allows Captain Toad to temporarily break almost any block in the environment, including solid stone blocks that are otherwise impassable. It's excellent for uncovering hidden paths and Super Gems. Use it wisely, as its duration is limited.
