The initial sections of the Acropolis are characterized by crumbling stone structures and numerous ledges. You'll encounter Gargoyles that swoop down from above; attack them as they descend or use a well-aimed sub-weapon. Stone Golems are also present, which are slow but heavily armored. Their weak point is often their head or when they open their mouths to attack. The Boomerang (Cross) sub-weapon is excellent here for hitting multiple enemies or returning to you after a throw. There are several hidden passages and breakable walls that can lead to extra hearts or even a 1-Up. Keep an eye on the background for suspicious-looking blocks. John's whip swing can be used to bypass some tricky jumps, while Eric's double jump makes navigating the vertical sections much easier. Be wary of falling debris from the ceiling in certain areas.
