Collecting all souls is a major optional goal in Dawn of Sorrow. Each enemy has a chance to drop its soul, and some souls are incredibly rare. Farming souls is essential for completing your soul collection, upgrading certain souls, and acquiring powerful abilities for your builds.
- Increase LCK: The higher Soma's LCK (Luck) stat, the higher the chance of enemies dropping souls and rare items. Equip the Ghost Soul (Enchant), which significantly boosts LCK. Other LCK-boosting equipment like the Gambler's Glasses or Three 7s can also help.
- Target Specific Enemies: If you need a specific soul, identify the enemy that drops it and repeatedly defeat them in an area close to a save point or warp room for quick resets.
- Soul Upgrades: Some Bullet and Guardian Souls can be upgraded by collecting multiple copies of the same soul. For example, collecting 9 Flame Demon Souls will increase its power. Check the 'Souls' menu to see which souls can be upgraded and how many copies are needed.
Patience is key for soul farming. Some souls have extremely low drop rates, so be prepared for a grind. The rewards, however, are often well worth the effort, providing powerful new attacks or invaluable passive bonuses.
