Simon's whip is his primary weapon, and upgrading it is crucial for dealing with stronger enemies and bosses. There are three whip upgrades available throughout the game, each increasing its power and range.
- Leather Whip (50 Hearts): The first upgrade, available in Jova. This is a mandatory early purchase.
- Thorn Whip (200 Hearts): A significant upgrade, available in Veros and Aldora. This should be your next priority after the Sacred Flame.
- Flame Whip (300 Hearts): The strongest whip in the game, available in Brahm. This is highly recommended for Dracula's Castle and the final boss.
To purchase a whip upgrade, simply visit an item shop in the specified town and select the whip from the vendor's inventory. The cost is in hearts, so you'll need to grind for them if you're short. Prioritize whip upgrades as soon as you can afford them, as they make a noticeable difference in combat efficiency.
