Death is encountered in Stage 5 (Castle Keep & Clock Tower). He is one of the most challenging bosses in the game.

- Attack Patterns: Death teleports around the room, throwing his large scythe which flies in an arc and returns to him. He also summons smaller, homing scythes that pursue you.
- Weakness: Death himself.
- Recommended Sub-Weapons:
- Holy Water: Very effective. Throw it where Death is about to materialize for continuous damage.
- Cross: Good for consistent damage, as it can hit multiple times.
- Sypha's Fire/Lightning: If you have Sypha, her powerful spells can deal massive damage to Death.
- Strategy: As Trevor, the key is to learn Death's teleportation patterns and the trajectory of his large scythe. Dodge the large scythe by moving or jumping, and be prepared for the smaller homing scythes. The Holy Water strategy is excellent: anticipate where he will appear and throw Holy Water there. Then jump and whip him. If you have Sypha, use her Fire or Lightning spells to quickly deplete his health. Grant can climb walls to avoid attacks and get in hits. Alucard's bat form can help with evasion and getting hits. This is a battle of attrition and pattern recognition. Stay calm and focus on dodging.
