The foundation of combat lies in the interplay of light and heavy attacks. A rapid sequence of light attacks can quickly stagger weaker foes, while a well-timed heavy attack can break through enemy guards and deal sificant damage. Experiment with different timings and sequences to discover your preferred rhythm.
Beyond basic attacks, the Combat Cross boasts a variety of powerful combos. The "Spinning Strike", executed by chaining several light attacks followed by a heavy, is excellent for crowd control, hitting multiple enemies in a wide arc. For single-target devastation, the "Executioner's Reach", a charged heavy attack, can stagger even larger enemies, leaving them vulnerable to further assault.
Don't forget about the defensive capabilities of the Combat Cross. A perfectly timed block can parry incoming attacks, opening up enemies for a swift counter-attack.
