Upon starting, you'll be immediately thrust into combat against several Lycans. Focus on chaining light attacks and using heavy attacks to break their guard. After clearing the initial group, proceed forward, jumping across the gap. You'll encounter more Lycans and Goblins. Remember to block and parry their attacks. A short cutscene will introduce you to the concept of grappling. Use your Combat Cross (Circle/B) to grapple the glowing points on the environment to cross larger gaps or pull down obstacles. Continue through the village, defeating enemies as you go. You'll eventually reach a gate that needs to be opened. Look for a mechanism nearby that can be activated with your Combat Cross. This mission primarily focuses on familiarizing you with basic movement and combat mechanics. smash any glowing objects you see, as they often contain health orbs or experience gems.
