Brachyura is a massive crab with a heavily armored shell, making frontal attacks ineffective. Its weak point is its soft underside, which is exposed during certain attacks. Brachyura has several attacks:
- Charge: It will charge across the screen. Backdash to avoid.
- Claw Slam: It will raise a claw and slam it down. This exposes its underside briefly.
- Bubble Shot: Fires a stream of bubbles. These can be destroyed or dodged.
- Water Jet: Shoots a powerful jet of water across the arena.
Strategy: The key to Brachyura is patience and positioning. Equip a strong melee Glyph like Confodere or Secare, and a ranged Glyph like Fulgur (lightning) if you have it. When Brachyura charges, backdash to get behind it, then attack its underside. When it performs a claw slam, dodge the claw and immediately attack its exposed belly. Fulgur is excellent for hitting its underside from a distance. Be careful of its water jet, as it covers a wide area. This fight is about exploiting small windows of opportunity. Reward: Significant EXP, sometimes a rare material.
