Rondo of Blood follows the classic Castlevania formula. You'll navigate linear stages, defeat various enemies, collect power-ups, and ultimately confront a boss. Whip Upgrades are temporary power-ups that increase your whip's range and damage, often dropped by candles or specific enemies. Sub-Weapons are crucial for dealing with specific enemy types or bosses; you can only carry one at a time, and they are found by destroying candles. Candles are ubiquitous throughout the castle and are your primary source of hearts, money bags, and sub-weapons. Money Bags contribute to your score and can sometimes grant extra lives. Hidden Walls are a staple of Castlevania; attack suspicious-looking walls to reveal secret passages or items. Always be on the lookout for these!
