·Multi-source verified (121/121)

Location: Royal Chapel

Recommended Level: 25-30

Recommended Equipment:

  • Weapon: Alucard Sword, Heaven Sword
  • Shield: Alucard Shield, Dark Shield
  • Sub-Weapon: Holy Water, Cross

Strategy:

The Hippogryph is a large, winged beast that flies around the room, swooping down to attack and occasionally breathing fire. Stay mobile and try to get underneath it when it's flying high. Use your double jump and Bat form to get in aerial attacks, especially when it's flying horizontally. When it swoops down, backdash to avoid its charge. Its fire breath attack can be dodged by moving to the opposite side of the screen or by using the Bat form to fly over it.

Holy Water or the Cross sub-weapons are effective here, especially if you can land multiple hits. The Heaven Sword's returning projectile can also be useful for consistent damage. The fight is largely about timing your jumps and attacks while avoiding its predictable patterns. Don't get caught in a corner. Keep the pressure on and it will fall.

Reward: Path to the Castle Keep.
