Boss Name: Xangar

Xangar is your first boss encounter and serves as an introduction to boss mechanics. It's a large, stationary enemy that primarily attacks with projectiles and occasional ground slams. The key to defeating Xangar is to stay mobile and exploit openings after its attacks.
- Phase 1: Projectile Barrage: Xangar will fire multiple slow-moving projectiles in a spread pattern. Dodge these by moving around the arena. Get in close after it finishes an attack sequence to land a few hits with your sword.
- Phase 2: Ground Slam (Low HP): As Xangar's health decreases, it will occasionally perform a ground slam that creates a small shockwave. This attack has a short wind-up, giving you time to move away. Continue to attack after it recovers.
Strategy: Focus on dodging Xangar's attacks and counter-attacking during its recovery animations. Your Short Sword is your primary weapon here. Don't be afraid to use a Gumdrop if your HP gets low. If you've been practicing focused attacks, they can deal significant damage, but prioritize consistent hits and avoiding damage. Xangar is not particularly challenging, but it teaches you the importance of timing and evasion.
Reward: Completion of Chapter 1, unlocks the Flail weapon type.
