Throughout the game, you'll gain access to special subquests related to the eight elemental spirits, known as Benevodons. Then, talk to its instance in the Mana Village (e.g., equip Salamando and talk to the Salamando spirit in Moti's house near the fireplace). The Benevodon will provide you with a unique sidequest and details. These quests often involve revisiting previous dungeons with new objectives or facing specific elemental challenges. They become available at various points in the main story, typically after completing certain chapters. Completing all eight elemental subquests is crucial, as it unlocks a final, powerful sidequest.
Availability of Elemental Subquests:
- After Chapter 2: Some initial elemental subquests become available.
- After Chapter 3: More elemental subquests unlock.
- After Chapter 4: Additional elemental subquests become accessible.
- After Chapter 5: Further elemental subquests unlock.
- After Chapter 6: The remaining elemental subquests become available.
- After Chapter 7: All elemental subquests should now be accessible.
Once you have finished all eight elemental subquests AND completed the main game, you can access a final sidequest by touching the Mana Stone in the village. This ultimate mission takes place in the Cosmic Rift. The reward for completing this challenging quest is the Mystic Blessing gem, which restores 6 HP and 6 MP every 3 seconds, a highly valuable accessory for endgame content.
