Understanding their roles in combat and their personal journeys is crucial for maximizing your party's effectiveness and appreciating the depth of the story. From frontline fighters to magical support, each character plays a vital part.

Crono: As the main protagonist, Crono is a balanced physical attacker. He excels in single-target damage and has access to powerful lightning-based Techs. His role is primarily that of a damage dealer and a reliable frontline combatant.

Marle: A princess with a healing touch. Marle's primary role is support, focusing on restoring HP and curing status ailments with her water-based magic. She can also contribute with offensive ice Techs.

Lucca: The party's resident genius and inventor. Lucca is a potent offensive magic user, specializing in fire-based attacks. Her Techs are excellent for dealing area-of-effect damage and exploiting enemy weaknesses.

Frog: A knight cursed into amphibian form. Frog is a strong physical attacker with a focus on sword techniques. He also possesses healing abilities and can use water magic, making him a versatile fighter.
