The first encounter with Magus in 600 A.D. is a challenging fight. He will cycle through elemental barriers (Fire, Water, Lightning, Shadow). Use the opposite element to break his barrier and deal increased damage. When he's not protected, unleash your strongest attacks. Keep your HP high, as his Dark Matter is devastating. Frog's Masamune is crucial if you have it.
