The primary method of fast travel is through the use of "Time Gates." These shimmering portals appear in various locations throughout the game and allow you to instantly travel between different eras. Once a Time Gate has been activated or discovered, it can typically be accessed from its corresponding location in other time periods, creating a network of interconnected travel points.

Beyond Time Gates, other shortcuts and travel methods include:

• The Epoch: Once acquired, the Epoch, your time-traveling aircraft, becomes the ultimate fast travel tool. You can summon it from almost anywhere on the world map to travel to any previously visited time period or location.
• Chrono Trigger's World Map: The world map itself often presents shortcuts. For instance, once you gain access to certain areas, you can often travel between them more directly than the initial path might suggest.
