Phases & Abilities:
The Rikti Mothership is a unique raid encounter where the 'boss' is the ship itself, rather than a single entity. The raid involves destroying various components of the Mothership while fighting off waves of Rikti invaders. The encounter is divided into several stages, each with specific objectives.
- Exterior Defense: Players must destroy external turrets and shields while battling Rikti forces on the ship's hull.
- Interior Infiltration: The raid moves inside, where players must disable internal systems, destroy power conduits, and fight through heavily armed Rikti.
- Core Destruction: The final stage involves destroying the Mothership's core, often protected by elite Rikti and a powerful Rikti Commander.
Strategy:
- Team Coordination: This raid requires excellent communication and coordination, often splitting the raid group into smaller teams for different objectives.
- Objective Focus: Prioritize the mission objectives (turrets, shields, conduits) over simply defeating all Rikti.
- Rikti Management: While objectives are key, don't ignore the Rikti. Controllers and damage dealers need to manage the constant flow of enemies.
- Healer & Tanker Roles: Tankers will need to hold aggro on key Rikti elites, and healers will be crucial for sustained healing against heavy incoming damage.
- Environmental Awareness: Be aware of the ship's defenses and environmental hazards.
Weaknesses:
The Mothership's components often have specific vulnerabilities (e.g., energy shields might be weak to energy attacks, while physical components might be weak to smashing). Rikti enemies have standard resistances.
Rewards:
Successfully raiding the Rikti Mothership grants significant experience, influence, and Reward Merits. It's a good source of Incarnate Components, particularly Destiny and Judgement components, and can drop rare Rikti-themed Invention Origin recipes.
