Invention Origin (IO) Crafting is a deep and rewarding system that allows you to create the most powerful enhancements in the game. To craft an IO, you need a Recipe, various types of Salvage (obtained from enemy drops or purchased), and Influence. Recipes can be found as rare drops, purchased from the Auction House (Black Market), or sometimes rewarded from missions.
The crafting process takes place at an Invention Worktable, found in various zones. You'll combine the recipe and materials to create the desired IO. Many IOs belong to Sets, and slotting multiple enhancements from the same set into a power (or across multiple powers) grants powerful Set Bonuses. These bonuses can significantly increase your character's effectiveness, making IO crafting a crucial endgame activity.
