Newspaper missions are a classic way to gain experience and influence in City of Heroes. You can pick up a newspaper from various stands located throughout each zone. Each newspaper offers a selection of missions, usually involving defeating a certain number of enemies from a specific villain group, rescuing civilians, or retrieving stolen items. These missions are repeatable and scale with your level, making them a reliable source of income and experience.
To start, simply click on a newspaper stand, select a mission, and then follow the objective markers on your mini-map. They are excellent for solo play or for filling gaps between larger story arcs. Completing a set number of newspaper missions in a zone can sometimes unlock special badges or contact stories.
