Unlocking the Pet House

To gain access to the Pet House and begin your journey with Hero Pets, follow these steps:

  1. Reach Town Hall 14: The Pet House becomes available for construction once your Town Hall reaches level 14. This is a significant milestone, so ensure your base is well-developed to support the new building.
  2. Construct the Pet House: Once at Town Hall 14, locate the Pet House in the shop under the "Buildings" tab. It requires a substantial amount of Gold and Builder time to construct. Prioritize this build as soon as possible to start benefiting from Hero Pets.

Acquiring Hero Pets

Upon constructing the Pet House, you'll immediately gain access to your first Hero Pet. Additional pets are unlocked as you upgrade the Pet House itself. Each Pet House level introduces a new Hero Pet to your roster.

  • L.A.S.S.I: Unlocked at Pet House Level 1. This agile canine acts as a close-range attacker, jumping over walls to target defenses.
  • Electro Owl: Unlocked at Pet House Level 2. The Electro Owl provides ranged support, dealing chain lightning damage similar to the Electro Dragon.
  • Mighty Yak: Unlocked at Pet House Level 3. A tanky companion, the Mighty Yak smashes through walls and deals area damage.

Upgrading Hero Pets

Just like your Heroes, Hero Pets can be upgraded to increase their health, damage, and special abilities. Upgrading pets requires Dark Elixir and takes time.

  1. Access the Pet House: Tap on the Pet House building in your village.
  2. Select a Pet: Choose the Hero Pet you wish to upgrade from the available options.
  3. Initiate Upgrade: If you have enough Dark Elixir, you will see the option to upgrade. Confirm the upgrade, and the pet will enter its upgrade cycle.

Important Considerations for Upgrading:

  • Dark Elixir Management: Hero Pet upgrades are expensive. Plan your Dark Elixir farming carefully, prioritizing which pets you want to level up first based on your attack strategies.
  • Builder Availability: Unlike Heroes, Pet upgrades do not occupy a Builder. This allows you to continue upgrading other village structures simultaneously.
  • Pet Availability During Upgrade: A Hero Pet undergoing an upgrade is still available for use in battles. This is a significant advantage, allowing you to continuously benefit from your pets even while they improve.

Assigning Hero Pets to Heroes

Each Hero Pet can be assigned to one of your four main Heroes: the Barbarian King, Archer Queen, Grand Warden, or Royal Champion. This assignment is crucial as the pet will follow and support its assigned Hero throughout the battle.

  1. Access the Pet House: Tap on the Pet House.
  2. Select "Assign Pets": This option will display your available Heroes and Pets.
  3. Drag and Drop: Simply drag the desired Hero Pet onto the Hero you wish to pair it with. You can change these assignments at any time outside of battle.

Strategic Pet Pairings and Synergies

The true power of Hero Pets lies in their synergy with specific Heroes. Experiment with different combinations to find what works best for your attack compositions.

  • Barbarian King:
    • Mighty Yak: Enhances the King's tanking ability and provides additional wall-breaking power, clearing paths for the King and other troops.
    • L.A.S.S.I: Adds extra close-range damage and can jump over walls, helping the King take down key defenses faster.
  • Archer Queen:
    • Electro Owl: Provides ranged support, protecting the Queen from swarming troops and dealing splash damage to clustered defenses.
