Welcome, Chief! The Clan Capital is your clan's shared home base, a monumental undertaking that requires the collective effort of every clan member. Unlike your personal village, progress here is communal, and every contribution strengthens your clan's ability to raid and defend. This guide will walk you through optimizing your Clan Capital experience, from initial construction to dominating Capital Raids.

Getting Started: The Capital Peak

Your journey begins at the Capital Peak, the central district of your Clan Capital. This is where all new clans start, and its upgrades unlock subsequent districts. To access the Clan Capital, your personal Town Hall must be at least Level 6, and you must be part of a clan.

  • Initial Construction: Upon your first visit, you'll see the dilapidated Capital Peak. Your first task, and indeed the ongoing task for your clan, is to contribute Capital Gold to repair and upgrade buildings.
  • Capital Gold: This is the unique currency of the Clan Capital. It cannot be stolen or lost. You earn Capital Gold primarily through:
    • Forging: Convert your personal village's resources (Gold, Elixir, Dark Elixir) into Capital Gold at the Forge, located in your Home Village. The Forge has a daily limit on conversions, so make it a routine!
    • Capital Raids: Participating in and winning Capital Raids (covered below) is the most significant source of Capital Gold.
    • Reinforcement Bonuses: When your Clan Capital defenses successfully repel attackers during a Capital Raid, your clan earns bonus Capital Gold.
  • Contributing to Buildings: Tap on any building in the Clan Capital that shows a "Contribute" button. You can donate any amount of Capital Gold you possess. The more you contribute, the faster buildings are upgraded.

Unlocking and Developing Districts

As the Capital Peak reaches certain upgrade levels, new districts will become available. Each district has its own unique set of buildings, defenses, and troop types.

District Progression Strategy

Prioritize unlocking new districts as soon as they become available. Each new district brings new offensive and defensive capabilities, expanding your clan's strategic options.

  1. Capital Peak: Focus on upgrading the Capital Hall here first to unlock new districts. Also, upgrade the Barbarian Camp early to enhance your basic raid troops.
  2. Barbarian Camp: This is typically the first district unlocked after the Capital Peak. It introduces the powerful Super Barbarian and various ground defenses.
    • Offensive Focus: Upgrade the Barracks here to unlock higher levels of Super Barbarians.
    • Defensive Focus: Prioritize upgrading Walls and Cannons to create strong choke points.
  3. Wizard Valley: Unlocks magical troops and defenses.
    • Offensive Focus: Upgrade the Spell Storage to unlock more spell slots and the Wizard Barracks for stronger Wizards. The Raid Cart is also a crucial support troop here.
    • Defensive Focus: The Wizard Towers and Rocket Artillery are devastating against air and ground units, respectively.
  4. Balloon Lagoon: Specializes in air-based attacks and defenses.
    • Offensive Focus: The Balloon Barracks for powerful Balloons and the Dragon Barracks for destructive Dragons are key.
    • Defensive Focus: Air Defenses and Mega Tesla are paramount to protect against air raids.
  5. Builder's Workshop: Introduces unique defensive structures and the versatile Battle Ram.
    • Offensive Focus: Upgrade the Battle Ram Barracks. The Battle Ram is excellent for breaking through walls.
    • Defensive Focus: The Crusher and Multi-Mortar are formidable against ground troops.
  6. Dragon Cliffs: Focuses on advanced air units and powerful defenses.
    • Offensive Focus: The Inferno Dragon Barracks unlocks the devastating Inferno Dragon.
    • Defensive Focus: The Inferno Tower and Skeletal Traps are critical here.
  7. Golem Quarry: The final district, featuring the resilient Golems and heavy defenses.
    • Offensive Focus: Upgrade the Golem Barracks to unleash the tanky Golems.
    • Defensive Focus: The Giant Cannon and Bomb Tower provide immense area damage.

Capital Raids: Offense and Defense

Capital Raids are the core gameplay loop of the Clan Capital. They occur over a weekend, allowing your clan to attack other Clan Capitals and defend your own.

Offensive Strategy: Attacking Other Capitals

Each clan member gets 5 attacks per raid weekend, plus one bonus attack if they destroy a district. Your goal is to destroy as many districts as possible in an enemy Clan Capital to earn Raid Medals and Capital Gold.

  • Shared Army Camps: Unlike your Home Village, troops are trained instantly and are shared across the entire clan. Once a troop is unlocked and upgraded in a district, any clan member can use it.
  • Deployment Zones: You can deploy troops anywhere within the designated green deployment zone. This zone expands as you destroy buildings.
  • Spells: Spells are also shared and instantly available. Use them strategically to support your troops.
  • Attack Phases:
    1. Scout the District: Before attacking, always scout the district to identify key defenses, traps, and optimal entry points.
    2. Coordinate with Clan: Discuss attack strategies with your clanmates. Decide which districts to prioritize and what troop compositions work best.
    3. Target Weaknesses: Look for districts with exposed defenses, weak walls, or areas where your preferred troop compositions excel.
    4. Funneling: Just like in your Home Village, proper funneling is crucial. Use Super Barbarians or Battle Rams to clear outer buildings and create a path for your core army.
    5. Spell Placement: Use Healing Spells to keep your tanks alive, Jump Spells to bypass walls, and Rage Spells to boost damage.
    6. Clean-up: use faster troops like Sneaky Archers or Minions for clean-up once the main defenses are down.
  • Bonus Attack: If you manage to destroy an entire district, you earn an extra attack! This is a huge advantage, so aim for full district destruction whenever possible.

Defensive Strategy: Protecting Your Capital

Your clan's collective defense layout determines how well you repel attackers. There's no "active" defense during a raid weekend; your layout and upgraded defenses do all the work.

  • District Layouts: Only the Clan Leader and Co-Leaders can edit district layouts. Regularly review and adjust your layouts based on raid performance.
  • Choke Points: Create narrow passages and funnel attackers into concentrated fire from multiple defenses.
  • Trap Placement: Strategically place Spring Traps, Giant Bombs, and Skeletal Traps in common troop paths or near high-value targets.
  • Wall Placement: Use walls to protect critical defenses like the Capital Hall, Wizard Towers, and Rocket Artilleries. Don't create too many compartments, as this can make it easier for attackers to funnel.
  • Defense Prioritization: Focus on upgrading high-damage, area-of-effect defenses first, such as Wizard Towers, Rocket Artilleries, and Crushers.
  • Capital Hall Protection: The Capital Hall in each district is the most important building. Protecting it should be your top priority, as its destruction awards significant progress to attackers.

Raid Medals and Trader

Raid Medals are earned from successful Capital Raids and are a valuable currency. You can spend them at the Raid Medal Trader, located in your Home Village, to purchase:

  • Reinforcement Troops: Request specific troops for your Clan Castle without waiting for clanmates to donate.
  • Resource Potions: Boost your resource collectors.
  • Builder Potions: Speed up your builders.
  • Research Potions: Accelerate lab upgrades.
  • Wall Rings: Instantly upgrade walls in your Home Village.
  • Magic Items: Occasionally, the Trader will offer other valuable Magic Items.

Prioritize using Raid Medals for items that directly benefit your personal village's progression, such as Magic Items or Wall Rings, as these can significantly speed up your personal upgrades.
