Unlocking Your New Arsenal

Your first priority upon reaching Town Hall 8 should be to upgrade your Dark Barracks to Level 4 to unlock the Golem, and then to Level 5 for the Valkyrie. These upgrades are crucial for accessing the core components of TH8's most effective attack strategies.

    3. Main Push: Deploy your P.E.K.K.A.s and remaining Wizards into the opened compartment. Use a Rage Spell to accelerate their entry and initial damage output.
    4. Clan Castle Lure & Deal: If the enemy Clan Castle is easily triggered, use a Poison Spell on the defending troops. If not, your Wizards and P.E.K.K.A.s will handle them within the Rage Spell.
    5. Spell Placement: Continue to drop Rage Spells as your troops push deeper into the base, especially over key defensive structures like Wizard Towers and Mortars. Use Heal Spells to keep your Wizards and P.E.K.K.A.s alive through heavy splash damage.
    6. Cleanup: Once the core is destroyed, deploy any remaining Archery or Barbarians to clear peripheral buildings for the three-star.

The Valkyrie: The Whirlwind of Destruction

Valkyries are fast, melee troops that deal splash damage to multiple targets around them. They excel at clearing out clusters of buildings and can quickly tear through the core of a base, especially when protected by tanks.

Valkyrie Strategy: GoVaHo (Golem, Valkyrie, Hog Rider)

GoVaHo is a powerful and popular strategy at TH8, combining the tanking of Golems, the core-shredding power of Valkyries, and the defensive-targeting of Hog Riders.

    • 8-12 Valkyries (the core damage dealers)
    • 10-15 Hog Riders (for backend defense targeting)

    4. Clan Castle Deal: Use a Poison Spell on any defending Clan Castle troops. Your Valkyries will also quickly dispatch them.
    5. Hog Rider Deployment: Once the Valkyries have engaged the core defenses, deploy your Hog Riders on a separate side of the base, targeting outer defenses.
    6. Heal Spell Placement: Crucially, use Heal Spells to keep your Hog Riders alive as they move from defense to defense.
