The Lava Hound is a flying tank that targets buildings and explodes into Lava Pups upon defeat. Its main threat comes from its supporting air troops (e.g., Balloon, Minions, Mega Minion). To counter, focus on eliminating the support first with splash damage air troops (e.g., Baby Dragon, Electro Wizard) or spells (e.g., Arrows, Fireball). Then, use high-damage air targeting units (e.g., Inferno Dragon, Musketeer, Hunter) to take down the Lava Hound itself. A Tornado can also group the Pups for a spell.
