Dodging, executed with a dedicated button, allows you to evade incoming attacks, with the direction and timing of your dodge being crucial for avoiding damage.
Parrying is another vital defensive mechanic. Successfully parrying an enemy's attack at the precise moment it lands can stagger them, opening them up for a critical hit, which deals significant damage. Mastering the timing for parries against different enemy types is a key skill that separates novice players from seasoned Revenants. Beyond physical attacks, players also have access to Gifts, special abilities fueled by ichor.
