The Virgin Born Strategy

The Virgin Born, a colossal and terrifying entity found within the heart of the Provisional Government Outskirts, is a multi-stage boss fight that demands strategic positioning and an understanding of its elemental weaknesses. This boss primarily utilizes powerful physical attacks, including sweeping slams and devastating stomps, along with potent elemental breath attacks. Its primary weakness is to Lightning damage. Exploiting this with Gifts like Thunderclap or lightning-infused weapons will significantly shorten the fight.

In its first phase, the Virgin Born is relatively slow but hits incredibly hard. Focus on staying close to its legs and dodging *under* its sweeping attacks. Its stomps create shockwaves that can be avoided by jumping or sprinting away. When it rears back to unleash its elemental breath (which can be either fire or ice), sprint to its flank or behind it. These breath attacks have a wide area of effect, so maintaining a safe distance or precise positioning is crucial. After a breath attack, there is a brief window to attack its legs.

The second phase introduces more aggressive attacks and the ability to summon smaller, spectral versions of itself. These adds can be a nuisance, so deal with them quickly using AoE attacks or swift weapon combos. The Virgin Born will also begin to use a devastating charge attack. This has a clear telegraph: it will lower its head and charge forward. Dodge to the side at the last possible moment. During this phase, its elemental breath attacks become more frequent and cover a larger area. If you are using a Blood Code that benefits from critical hits, such as the Assassin, aim for its head when it is vulnerable, particularly after a failed charge or a breath attack. Consider equipping the Iron Will passive to absorb a single hit if your dodge timing is slightly off. Managing your Stamina is paramount; always ensure you have enough for at least two dodges. The Virgin Born's sheer size can be intimidating, but by focusing on its elemental weakness and exploiting its recovery animations, victory is achievable. Do not get caught in its AoE attacks; prioritize survival and consistent damage.
