All Old World Materials Locations
The Old World Materials are remnants of a bygone era, crucial for upgrading your weapons and Blood Veils to their maximum potential. These rare crafting components are scattered across the most dangerous and often overlooked areas of Code Vein II. Collecting them is essential for maximizing your damage output and survivability against the game's toughest adversaries. Prioritizing their acquisition will significantly enhance your combat effectiveness.
In the Ruined City Center, you can find Titanite Shards, a common but vital Old World Material, near the broken fountain and behind an illusory wall in the abandoned church. Be wary of the Lost Assassins that often patrol these areas. The Depths of the Forgotten holds a higher concentration of Demonite Ore, often found within collapsed mine shafts and near geothermal vents. Look for them nestled amongst piles of rubble. A particularly rich deposit of Demonite Ore can be found after defeating the mini-boss, the Chasm Crawler, in a side cavern. The Catacombs of the Silent, a labyrinthine dungeon, contains Soul-Forged Steel, typically located in alcoves and on ledges that require careful platforming. Some Soul-Forged Steel deposits are guarded by groups of Skeleton Warriors, so be prepared for a fight.
The Frozen Wastes are home to Frostbite Crystals, which are often found embedded in ice formations or within the carcasses of large, frozen beasts. A common mistake is to overlook the shimmering ice walls that may conceal these valuable materials. The Sky-Piercing Peaks offer Aetherial Dust, usually found on high mountain ledges and within ancient ruins. Reaching these locations often requires the use of the Air Dash Blood Code ability or careful climbing. The total number of Old World Materials varies, but there are approximately 50 Titanite Shards, 30 Demonite Ore, 25 Soul-Forged Steel, and 20 Frostbite Crystals, with Aetherial Dust being the rarest, with only 15 available. Always check the environment meticulously; these materials are often hidden in plain sight or require a specific interaction to reveal.
