New Game+ Explained
Upon completing the main story of Code Vein II, the world of Vein does not simply end. Instead, you unlock New Game+, a mode that allows you to carry over your progress and face a remixed and more challenging version of the game. This is where your true mastery of the Revenant's abilities and your understanding of the world's dangers will be put to the ultimate test.
In New Game+, you retain all your acquired Blood Codes, Gifts, Weapons, and Armor. This means you can experiment with different builds and strategies from the outset, utilizing the powerful combinations you discovered during your first playthrough. Your character level and accumulated Haze will also carry over, giving you a significant advantage in terms of stats and available skills. However, this advantage is necessary, as the enemies in New Game+ are significantly more powerful.
Expect enemies to have increased health and damage output. Some foes that were once minor nuisances will now pose a serious threat, and boss encounters will be considerably more demanding. Furthermore, the placement of certain enemies and even some environmental hazards might be altered, requiring you to adapt your familiar routes and combat approaches. New enemy variants or even entirely new foes may appear in specific areas, such as the treacherous Frozen Abyss, adding an element of surprise to familiar locations.
New Game+ also introduces new rewards. You may find unique Blood Codes that are only obtainable in this mode, offering powerful new abilities and playstyles. Rare crafting materials, such as Pristine Queen Steel, might also have an increased drop rate, allowing you to further upgrade your equipment to its maximum potential. The narrative may also offer subtle new dialogue or optional encounters that shed further light on the lore of Vein and the fate of its inhabitants.
Embarking on New Game+ is an excellent way to extend the life of Code Vein II, offering a fresh challenge for those who have mastered its initial difficulties. It encourages experimentation with different Blood Codes and Gifts, such as the potent Prometheus or the evasive Harbinger, and rewards players for their dedication with new discoveries and even greater power.
