Confronting the Source

Prepare for the final boss in Code Vein II. This guide details strategies for Confronting the Source, focusing on its Blood Veils and Lost abilities.

Confronting the Source

Confronting the Source is the ultimate test of your Revenant's strength and resolve. This area is a desolate, warped landscape, a testament to the Blight's absolute dominion. The primary adversaries here are the Corrupted Archons, powerful beings that wield corrupted versions of familiar Blood Codes, such as the "Corrupted Spellblade" and "Corrupted Berserker." These enemies possess enhanced versions of their respective Gifts, making them exceptionally dangerous. For instance, the Corrupted Spellblade's "Shadow Bolt" now deals 120 damage and has a homing effect. It is crucial to study their attack patterns and exploit any openings. You will also encounter Echoes of Despair, spectral remnants of fallen Revenants that unleash waves of psychic energy, inflicting the Madness status effect, which distorts your UI and causes random inputs. A Mind Shield consumable can temporarily negate this effect. Scattered throughout the arena are Essence Shards, which can be consumed to restore a small amount of your Focus Gauge, essential for using powerful Gifts. The final boss of Code Vein II, the Blight Lord, resides at the heart of this corrupted nexus. The Blight Lord has multiple phases, each introducing new attack patterns and resistances. Its sature move, "Blight Nova," unleashes a massive explosion dealing 300 damage in a large radius. Mastering the use of your Drain Attack to regain Focus and execute critical Gifts at opportune moments will be paramount to your victory.
