Phase 1: Crushing Blows
The Insatiable Despot is a large, lumbering Lost with powerful, wide-reaching attacks. Its primary moves include a slow, sweeping arm attack, a forward charge, and a ground slam. The key to this fight is staying close to its legs or back, as many of its attacks will miss you there. When it performs a ground slam, dodge away from the impact zone. Its charge attack can be dodged to the side. Be wary of its grab attack, which is heavily telegraphed but deals massive damage if it connects. Use your companion to distract it, allowing you to get free hits. Focus on breaking its posture by dealing consistent damage to its limbs.
Phase 2: Frenzied Assault
At around 50% health, the Despot becomes more aggressive, gaining increased speed and a new, more dangerous ground-slam attack that creates a shockwave. It also gains a roar that can stagger you. The strategy remains to stay close and attack its legs, but you'll need to be more vigilant about dodging. Its shockwave attack requires a well-timed dodge or moving out of range. If you have any Gifts that buff your defense or provide quick mobility, now is the time to use them. Don't be afraid to use your Regen Indulgences.
