Phase 1: Hammer Swings

Oliver Collins is your first major boss. In his first phase, he wields a large hammer, performing slow but powerful swings. His main attacks include a wide horizontal sweep, a vertical slam, and a forward charge. All of these are telegraphed, giving you time to dodge. Focus on dodging through his attacks rather than away, as this often puts you in a good position to counter-attack his back or sides. He has a relatively long recovery after his heavy slams. Use your companion (Io) to draw some aggro and provide healing. Don't be greedy with your attacks; get a few hits in and then prepare to dodge again. Keep your Ichor high for healing Gifts.

Phase 2: Blazing Hammer

Once his health drops to about 50%, Oliver transforms, becoming faster and imbuing his hammer with fire. His attacks gain a fiery trail and deal elemental damage. He also gains a new attack where he slams his hammer, creating a small explosion of fire. The strategy remains similar: dodge his attacks and counter. However, his increased speed means you need to be more precise with your dodges. Consider using a Blood Veil with fire resistance if you're struggling. Gifts like 'Adrenaline' for damage or 'Iron Will' for defense can be helpful. Stay calm, manage your stamina, and prioritize survival over aggressive damage. Rewards: Fighter Blood Code (if not chosen), Oliver Collins' Vestige A.
