You can choose your faction, map, number of AI opponents (and their difficulty), and starting resources. This is an excellent way to learn the build orders for each faction, understand unit counters, and experiment with different superweapon timings. Start with easier AI difficulties and gradually increase them as you become more confident. Focus on mastering one faction at a time before moving on to others. Pay attention to the AI's build orders and attack patterns; they often mimic common player strategies. Use skirmish to practice your hotkeys, unit grouping, and rapid expansion techniques. Experiment with different map types, as naval maps require different strategies than land-locked ones.
