Mastering the controls and understanding the User Interface (UI) of Control Ultimate Edition is fundamental to your survival and success within the chaotic confines of The Oldest House. The UI provides critical information at a glance, while the controls allow for fluid movement and devastating combat.
The UI is desed to be informative without being intrusive. Your health is displayed prominently, usually as a bar or a series of segments. The Service Weapon's ammo count is also visible, along with its current form. A mini-map or compass will often be present, indicating your immediate surroundings, objectives, and nearby Control Points. Important notifications, such as new objectives, collectible discoveries, and ability unlocks, will appear on screen. Pay attention to the 'Alert' icons that appear when enemies are nearby or when you're in danger.
Key UI Elements:
- Health Bar: Indicates Jesse's current health. Regenerates slowly over time or with health pickups.
- Service Weapon Ammo: Shows the remaining ammunition for your current Service Weapon form.
- Ability Cooldowns: Visual indicators for when your supernatural abilities are ready to be used again.
- Objective Marker: A clear indicator on your HUD pointing towards your current primary objective.
- Control Point Status: Shows if a Control Point is active and available for fast travel or meditation.
