The Oldest House is a labyrinth of secrets, and among the most intriguing are the Case Files. These documents offer deep dives into the FBC's investigations into Altered World Events (AWEs), Objects of Power (OoPs), and other paranormal phenomena. Collecting them not only enriches the lore but also contributes to your overall completion percentage. Many Case Files are tied to specific missions or hidden areas, so keep your eyes peeled!

Executive Sector Case Files

  • AWE: Black Rock Quarry
    • Location: Executive Sector, Central Executive.
    • Walkthrough: From the Central Executive Control Point, head towards the Board Room. Before entering the Board Room itself, look for a small office to the right. The Case File is on a desk inside this office.
  • OoP: Hotline
    • Location: Executive Sector, Executive Affairs.
    • Walkthrough: After progressing through the "Unknown Caller" mission and gaining access to Executive Affairs, you'll find this Case File on a table in the main open area, near the entrance to the Director's Office. It's hard to miss as it's often highlighted by a subtle glow.

Maintenance Sector Case Files

  • AWE: Oceanview Motel
    • Location: Maintenance Sector, Janitor's Office.
    • Walkthrough: This Case File becomes accessible after you've completed the "Directorial Override" mission and gained the ability to cleanse Control Points. Return to Ahti's Janitor's Office. The file is on his desk, usually after a brief conversation with him.
  • OoP: Refrigerator
    • Location: Maintenance Sector, NSC Power Plant.
    • Walkthrough: During the "Old Boys' Club" mission, as you navigate the NSC Power Plant, you'll eventually reach the main power core area. Look for a small, elevated office overlooking the core. The Case File is on a console within this office. You might need to use Levitate to reach it if you haven't fully restored power.

Research Sector Case Files

  • AWE: Ashtray Maze
    • Location: Research Sector, Parapsychology.
    • Walkthrough: This Case File is found in the Parapsychology department. After completing the "Threshold" mission and gaining access to the Ashtray Maze, head back to the main Parapsychology lab. The file is on a research table in the central area, often near some whiteboards.
  • OoP: Floppy Disk
    • Location: Research Sector, Hypnosis Lab.
    • Walkthrough: Within the Hypnosis Lab, which you'll visit during the "My Brother's Keeper" mission, look for a side room or office off the main testing chamber. The Case File is typically on a desk or filing cabinet in this smaller room.

Containment Sector Case Files

    • Location: Containment Sector, Panopticon.
    • Walkthrough: As you ascend the Panopticon during "The Face of the Enemy," keep an eye out for small, accessible offices or observation decks on various levels. One such office, usually around the middle levels, contains this Case File on a desk.
  • OoP: Slide Projector
    • Location: Containment Sector, Medical Wing.
    • Walkthrough: In the Medical Wing, specifically in the area with patient rooms, search the individual rooms carefully. One of the rooms, often slightly ajar or with a broken door, will have the Case File on a bedside table or a medical cart.
