Upon spawning into the world of Core Keeper, your immediate priority is to establish a foundation for survival and progression by gathering essential resources. Begin by mining any visible veins of Copper Ore and Tin Ore. These are the most crucial early-game metals. You will need a minimum of 8 Copper Ore and 8 Tin Ore to craft your first set of essential tools: a Copper Pickaxe and a Tin Shovel. These tools will dramatically increase your mining speed and allow you to gather more resources more efficiently. Alongside ore, you must collect Wood. Wood can be obtained by breaking down roots found scattered throughout the environment or, more reliably, by defeating Slimes. Slimes are the most common and weakest enemies you will encounter early on, and they consistently drop Slime, a versatile crafting material. Keep an eye out for these basic resources as you begin to explore your immediate surroundings. Prioritizing the acquisition of Wood, Copper, and Tin will allow you to quickly establish a crafting station and begin producing better gear, which is vital for tackling the challenges that lie ahead.
