Glurch Battle Strategy
Glurch, the first boss, presents a straightforward but challenging combat encounter that rewards mobility and careful observation. He primarily utilizes two distinct attacks: a slow, deliberate slam and a powerful jump. When Glurch performs his slam attack, he will raise his arms and bring them down, creating a small shockwave that emanates from his impact point. This attack has a noticeable wind-up, giving you time to react. His jump attack is more dangerous; he will leap into the air and then land with a larger area-of-effect (AoE) attack that covers a wider radius around his landing spot. The absolute key to defeating Glurch is to maintain constant movement. Avoid standing still for extended periods. Your strategy should involve a hit-and-run approach: approach Glurch, land a few strikes with your weapon, and then immediately dodge away when he telegraphs either of his attacks. The dodge mechanic, typically activated by the 'Spacebar', is your most crucial tool for survival. Use it effectively to evade the shockwaves and AoE damage. Ranged attacks can also be beneficial, allowing you to chip away at his health from a safer distance between dodges. Prioritize dodging over dealing damage when Glurch is preparing an attack.
