Mystery Caves is a dark, atmospheric track with a central lake, bouncy turtles, and a significant shortcut. This track requires good awareness of your surroundings and precise jumps.
Strategy: The track features several tight turns and a section with bouncy turtles. You can use these turtles as ramps to gain airtime and perform landing boosts, but be careful not to hit them head-on, as they can slow you down. The most important shortcut is across the central lake. After the first few turns, you'll see a ramp leading towards the lake. With enough speed and a well-timed hop, you can jump across a large portion of the lake, significantly cutting down your lap time. This shortcut is risky but highly rewarding. If you miss it, you'll fall into the water and be reset. Practice this jump to consistently land it. Items like Bowling Bombs are effective in the narrow cave sections.
