Unlocking Characters & Karts

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled boasts a massive roster of characters and karts, many of which need to be unlocked through various in-game activities or purchased from the Pit Stop.

Adventure Mode Unlocks:

• Nitros Oxide: Defeat him in Adventure Mode.
• Penta Penguin: Enter the cheat code (specific to platform) on the main menu.
• Fake Crash: Win the Purple Gem Cup in Adventure Mode.
• Dr. N. Tropy: Beat all of N. Tropy's ghost times in Time Trial mode.
• Pinstripe Potoroo, Komodo Joe, Papu Papu, Ripper Roo: Defeat them in Adventure Mode.

Pit Stop Purchases (Wumpa Coins):

• The majority of characters (including post-launch Grand Prix characters), karts, skins, paint jobs, and wheels are purchased from the Pit Stop using Wumpa Coins.
• The Pit Stop inventory rotates daily, so check back regularly for desired items.

Time Trial Unlocks:

• Nitros Oxide (Time Trial): Beat all of Nitros Oxide's ghost times in Time Trial mode. This is one of the hardest challenges in the game.

Other Unlocks:

• Some characters or karts might have been tied to specific Grand Prix events or special promotions. While the live events are over, many of these items are now available in the Pit Stop.

Focus on completing Adventure Mode first, then tackle the Time Trials for the hardest character unlocks. After that, consistent Wumpa Coin farming will allow you to purchase the rest of the content from the Pit Stop.
