Phases & Attacks:

  • Phase 1 (Initial Engagement): The Devastator will primarily use its heavy plasma cannon, firing sustained bursts. It also has a powerful melee attack if you get too close.
  • Phase 2 (Damaged): As it takes damage, its armor will crack, revealing glowing weak points on its back and chest. It may become more aggressive and attempt to close the distance for melee attacks.

Weaknesses & Strategy:

  • Weak Points: The glowing orange sections on its back and chest are its vulnerabilities.
  • Recommended Weapons: The JAW rocket launcher is highly effective. If not available, concentrated fire from an LMG or Grendel on its weak points will work. Explosive barrels or C4 can also deal significant damage.
  • Nanosuit Use: Use Armor mode to absorb its heavy weapon fire. Use Cloak mode to flank the Devastator and get shots on its back weak point, or to escape its melee attacks. Power Sprint to quickly get behind it.
  • Tactics: Maintain medium range. Circle the Devastator, using cover to break its line of sight and regenerate energy. When it's reloading or focused on another target, use Cloak to get behind it and unleash fire on its back. Be prepared to dodge its melee attacks if it closes the distance.

The Devastator is a test of your ability to combine Nanosuit modes and exploit environmental cover. Patience and flanking are key.
