While not a 'side quest' in the traditional sense, finding and utilizing weapon attachments is a crucial optional activity. Most weapons in Crysis 3 can be customized with various attachments like scopes, laser pointers, suppressors, and different barrel types. These attachments significantly alter a weapon's performance, allowing you to adapt it to different combat situations. For example, adding a suppressor to an assault rifle makes it viable for stealth, while a high-power scope turns it into a makeshift sniper. Attachments are often found on weapon racks, inside weapon crates, or sometimes dropped by elite enemies. You can also pick them up from weapons you find in the environment. Experiment with different combinations to find what works best for your playstyle. Access the weapon customization menu by holding down the reload button (R on PC, Square/X on console).
