Darkeater Midir Weaknesses & Resistances

Darkeater Midir, a colossal dragon encountered in The Ringed City, presents a formidable challenge, and understanding its resistances and weaknesses is crucial for victory. Midir exhibits a high resistance to most forms of damage, making it a true test of endurance and skill. However, it is particularly vulnerable to Lightning damage. Weapons or spells that deal lightning damage will significantly shorten the fight. This makes infusions with lightning gems or the use of lightning-based spells and miracles a highly recommended strategy for players struggling with this boss.

Conversely, Midir is highly resistant to Dark and Bleed damage. Attempting to inflict bleed buildup on Midir is largely ineffective and a waste of valuable attack windows. His natural resilience to dark damage also means that dark-infused weapons or dark sorceries will not be as potent as other damage types. Fire damage is also met with considerable resistance, so fire-based weapons and pyromancies will not be your best bet.

In terms of status effects, Midir is immune to Poison and Toxic. Trying to apply these will yield no results. He also has a very high resistance to Frostbite, making it difficult to proc. focus on raw damage output, with a strong emphasis on lightning, or high physical damage if lightning is not an option. Remember that Midir's head is his primary weak point, and consistently targeting it will yield the best results, regardless of the damage type. Even with resistances, a well-placed hit to the head will deal more damage than hits to his body or legs.
