While The Ringed City DLC is challenging, efficient soul farming can help you level up your character and upgrade your gear. Several locations offer good opportunities for this.
- Dreg Heap - First Bonfire: After defeating the Demon Prince, the area around the first bonfire in the Dreg Heap becomes a decent farming spot. The Harald Legion Knights and other enemies in the vicinity can yield a good amount of souls. However, this area is quite dangerous.
- Ringed City Streets - Bonfire: This bonfire is strategically located and offers access to several enemies, including Ringed Knights and other formidable foes. Clearing the immediate area and resting at the bonfire is a reliable, albeit challenging, method.
- Archdragon Peak - Great Rhino/Serpent Farming: Although not directly in The Ringed City, if you have access to Archdragon Peak, the area before the Great Rhino and the Serpent enemies can be a very efficient soul farm. These enemies are relatively predictable and drop a decent number of souls.
- Grand Archives - Mimic Chests: If you're willing to risk it, the Grand Archives in the main game contain several Mimic chests. While risky, they can drop a significant amount of souls and valuable items.
- Lothric Castle - Knights: The knights in Lothric Castle, particularly near the Lothric Castle bonfire, can be farmed. They are predictable and offer a steady income of souls.
For maximum efficiency, consider using the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring +3 (found in The Ringed City) and the Symbol of Avarice (headpiece that increases soul gain but drains HP) if you can manage the health drain. Farming in NG+ cycles will yield significantly more souls per enemy.
