Lorian, Elder Prince, and Lothric, Younger Prince, collectively known as the Twin Princes, are the final boss of the main game and represent a monumental challenge for any Ashen One. This climactic battle takes place in the Grand Archives and tests a player's mastery of dodging, spacing, and target prioritization. The fight is a two-phase encounter, with each phase focusing on one of the princes.

Phase 1: Lorian, Elder Prince

In the first phase, You directly confronts Lorian, the Elder Prince. Lorian is a formidable swordsman who wields a greatsword and possesses the ability to teleport short distances. His attacks are powerful and have a wide reach, often accompanied by a wave of fire. The most effective strategy is to stay close to Lorian, specifically targeting his back. When he teleports, quickly dodge in the direction he reappears and continue to press the attack. Be wary of his delayed attacks and his powerful ground slam, which can create a shockwave. Lorian is susceptible to Frostbite and Lightning damage. Players who can exploit these weaknesses will find this phase more manageable. It's important to learn his teleportation tells and dodge timings to avoid taking excessive damage.

Phase 2: Lothric, Younger Prince & Lorian, Elder Prince

Upon defeating Lorian, Lothric, the Younger Prince, will revive him. In this second phase, Lothric rides on Lorian's back, acting as a spellcaster while Lorian continues his melee assault. Lothric will cast several powerful sorceries, including homing soulmass, soul spears, and a devastating crystal soul spear. You must now focus their attacks on Lorian, but be constantly aware of Lothric's magical barrages. The strategy remains similar: stay close to Lorian and attack his back, but now with the added complexity of dodging Lothric's spells. It is often beneficial to position yourself so that Lothric is on the side of Lorian that you are not directly attacking, allowing for better visibility of his spells. Lothric is also vulnerable to physical damage, and if You can land enough hits on him, he can be staggered, interrupting his spellcasting. The Twin Princes are resistant to most status effects, but Dark damage can be effective against Lothric. This phase is a true test of endurance and situational awareness, requiring players to manage two distinct threats simultaneously.
