New Game+ in Dark Souls III offers a chance to re-experience Lothric with your existing character. While enemies gain a slight increase in toughness, the overall scaling is minimal, making the replay feel less fresh than some players might hope. The starting area, Cemetery of Ash, remains the initial challenge, leading to Firelink Shrine where NPCs and their services can be re-engaged.

To prepare for New Game+, consider these points:

  • NPC Interactions: Revisit all NPCs to ensure their side quests are completed. NPCs often move or return to familiar locations, so thorough exploration is key.
  • Item Collection: Gather all Estus Shards, Undead Bone Shards, Coals, Ashes, Rings, Sorceries, Miracles, and Pyromancies. These items carry over and can be crucial for optimizing your build.
