Dark Souls III offers both NPC summons and player co-op to assist you in challenging areas and boss fights. Summoning a phantom increases the boss's HP but can make difficult encounters more manageable.
NPC Summons:
- Sword Master: Found outside Firelink Shrine. Can be summoned for Vordt.
- Lion Knight Albert: Can be summoned for Vordt.
- Sirris of the Sunless Realms: Can be summoned for various bosses if her questline is followed.
- Siegward of Catarina: Can be summoned for Yhorm the Giant if his questline is followed.
- Anri of Astora: Can be summoned for Aldrich, Devourer of Gods.
- Gottard: Can be summoned for Abyss Watchers and Pontiff Sulyvahn.
- Black Hand Gotthard: Can be summoned for Pontiff Sulyvahn.
- Orbeck of Vinheim: Can be summoned for Twin Princes if his questline is followed.
- Great Swamp Cuculus: Can be summoned for Old Demon King.
- Knight Slayer Tsorig: Can be summoned for Old Demon King.
Player Co-op:
Use an Ember to become Embered, then look for white summon signs on the ground. You can also use a White Sign Soapstone to place your own sign and help other players. Password matching allows you to play with specific friends.
