The Crystal Sage is a sorcerer boss found in the Crystal
Phase 1 Strategy
In the first phase of the fight, the Crystal Sage primarily teleports around the arena, casting several crystal-based spells. These include homing crystal shards, crystal soul spears, and a sweeping crystal burst. The key to this phase is to close the distance quickly and maintain aggressive pressure. The Sage is vulnerable to melee attacks when you are close. As soon as it teleports, sprint towards its new location and begin attacking. Dodging its spells is essential; learn the casting animations to anticipate their trajectory. The Sage is susceptible to physical damage, and its relatively low health pool means that consistent offense can end this phase swiftly.
Phase 2 Strategy
Upon reaching approximately 50% health, the Crystal Sage enters its second phase. In this phase, it gains the ability to summon multiple illusions of itself. These illusions also cast spells, significantly increasing the number of projectiles in the arena. The challenge here is to identify the real Crystal Sage amidst the decoys. The true Sage will glow with a distinct purple aura, while the illusions will not. Prioritizing the elimination of the real Sage is paramount, as defeating it will instantly end the fight. Players must carefully observe the arena, distinguishing the glowing Sage from its duplicates, and then quickly close the distance to attack. Ranged attacks can be useful for clearing out illusions or chipping away at the real Sage's health from a distance, but melee remains effective if You can reliably identify and reach the true target. The Crystal Sage is weak to Fire damage, so using firebombs or fire-infused weapons can be beneficial. Be wary of the Sage's powerful Soul Stream attack, which it can cast in both phases, requiring a swift dodge to avoid.
