High Lord Wolnir
Boss Strategy: Wolnir is a giant skeleton lord whose primary threat comes from his immense size and his wielded sword. Your objective is to destroy the three bracelets on his wrists. These bracelets are his weak points and must be shattered to defeat him. Focus on one bracelet at a time. Be wary of his sword swings, which have a wide arc and can easily catch you if you're too close. He also has a mist attack that can inflict curse buildup, so be prepared to retreat when he begins to summon it.
When he pulls back, he's usually about to summon mist, so retreat to a safe distance. The mist itself is a persistent threat that can quickly fill your curse meter, leading to a swift death if not managed. If you destroy all the bracelets, he will be defeated. During the fight, Wolnir will summon skeletal adds that can harass you and distract from your main objective. Prioritize dealing with these smaller enemies if they become too overwhelming, but always keep an eye on Wolnir's main attacks. The arena is a large, dark chasm, which can make it difficult to track Wolnir's movements and avoid his attacks. Staying on the platforms and carefully timing your approach to the bracelets is crucial.
A common pitfall is focusing too much on attacking Wolnir directly rather than targeting the bracelets. While his body can be damaged, it is the destruction of the bracelets that progresses the fight. Another mistake is underestimating the curse buildup from his mist attack. It is highly recommended to have Mossfruit or Purging Stones readily available to counteract curse buildup. Some players find success by using weapons with a good reach to strike the bracelets from a safer distance. The fight requires a balance of aggression towards the weak points and defensive maneuvering to avoid Wolnir's devastating attacks and the environmental hazards.
