Covenant Item Farming

Ranking up within Dark Souls III's covenants often necessitates the collection of specific, often rare, items. These covenant items, such as the Proof of Concord Kept and Vertebra Shackles, are primarily intended to be earned through participation in online multiplayer. However, for players who prefer or are unable to engage in online play, these items can also be farmed from specific enemies offline. It is important to note that the drop rates for these items from enemies are exceptionally low, making offline farming a time-consuming and often frustrating endeavor.

For instance, the coveted Proof of Concord Kept, required for ranking up in the Blades of the Darkmoon and Blue Sentinels covenants, can be farmed from the Silver Knights located in the Anor Londo area. These knights are known for their potent attacks, and while they have a chance to drop the Proof, it is not guaranteed. Similarly, Vertebra Shackles, a key item for the Mound-Makers covenant, can be farmed from the Carthus Skeletons in the Catacombs of Carthus, though again, with a very low drop rate.

To maximize the efficiency of offline farming, equip items that increase item discovery, such as the Symbol of Avarice (which drains HP) and the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring. The Crystal Sage's Rapier, when wielded in the off-hand, also provides a passive boost to item discovery. also consider using the Rusted Coins consumable item, which temporarily boosts item discovery. Despite these aids, the process remains a test of patience and perseverance. Understanding which enemies drop which items and their locations, such as the Silver Knights in Anor Londo for Proof of Concord Kept, is the first step in undertaking this arduous task.
