The Road of Sacrifices serves as a crucial early-to-mid-game junction, presenting players with a branching path that leads to two distinct and challenging areas: the Cathedral of the Deep and Farron Keep. As you traverse the Road of Sacrifices, you will encounter a variety of new and formidable foes. Among these are the Corvians, agile winged creatures that attack in flocks, and the Lycanthropes, hulking beasts that can inflict significant damage with their powerful claws and bites. Mastering the timing of dodges and parries against these enemies is essential for survival.
Upon reaching Farron Keep, the environment shifts dramatically into a treacherous, poisonous swamp. Navigating this area requires careful attention to your surroundings, as stepping into the murky waters will inflict poison buildup, steadily draining your health. To progress, players must extinguish three ancient flames scattered throughout the keep. Each flame is typically guarded by groups of Ghru, the reptilian inhabitants of this blighted land. Successfully extinguishing all three flames will unlock the path to the formidable Abyss Watchers boss fight. Within Farron Keep, You can also discover the Farron Ring, which increases stamina recovery, a valuable asset for prolonged combat encounters. Additionally, the Old Wolf of Farron can be found here, offering a covenant and a unique bonfire.
